Remote Learning

Good afternoon everyone we hope you are keeping safe and well.

Thank you to everyone who has completed our survey last week - it was really helpful to get your feedback. We are continually reviewing our remote learning provision and our priority is ensuring that all children have daily contact with school and are engaging in their learning. With this in mind, we are looking at ways in which we can have some regular catch-up sessions and check-ins which we will trial this week.

Please see our 'Parent Guide' outlining the remote learning at Newlands, this can be found on the key information page of our website under remote learning.

As we continue to work together can we ask that you:
- make contact daily with your child's class teacher/s to keep them informed, especially if you are completing work at different times, as teachers are keeping a record of what learning is being completed
- please let us know if your child is sick and is unable to complete any school work so we can mark this as an absence as we would do normally if they were in school
- contact your child's class teacher if you are having any difficulties or struggling to access or complete the work set

Teachers are planning new learning for the children and the expectation is that this is completed to ensure that your children continue to make progress.

If we do not hear from your child each day, we will be in contact as we would if your child was absent from school.

Gold Regards and please keep safe and well
Simon and the Newlands Team
