Science

At Newlands Community Primary School, we believe that all of our children are scientists. Our intent is to give every child a broad and balanced Science curriculum which enables them to confidently explore and discover what is around them, so that they have a deeper understanding of the world we live in. We want our children to love science and to appreciate and nurture their personal scientific talents throughout their time at school, as well as feel confidently equipped with secure scientific knowledge and a thirst for investigation. We know how important our Forest School environment is to our children and so will enable children to explore and build an appreciation and care for the environment through their scientific studies. We want to encourage them to consider a future with science at the heart; through carefully developed opportunities to meet and engage with real life scientists. At Newlands Community Primary School, we have a coherently planned and sequenced curriculum which has been carefully designed and developed with the need of every child at the centre of what we do.
