Are you looking for the next chapter in your career or starting out as an early career teacher and want to really make a difference to the lives of young people? Come and join us at Newlands Primary School to work alongside our dedicated staff and wonderful children as we embark on an exciting journey.

Newlands is a happy and friendly school where children feel safe, secure and valued. Our staff, parents and pupils work together to ensure that every child is happy and can reach their full potential.

We are part of the very successful OWLS Academy Trust and this offers exciting opportunities for collaborative working.  We currently have 302 children on roll.

The building is situated on the borders of Barwell and Earl Shilton and takes children from both villages. We are fortunate in having extensive grounds that include a Forest School and large playgrounds that include a football and basketball court.  Our grounds provide an excellent environment for developing learning outside the classroom.

We can offer:

  • A positive, supportive and welcoming ethos that will allow you to develop professionally
  • Enthusiastic children who are eager to learn
  • A high level of commitment from staff, the local Governor Body and OWLS Academy Trust
  • A fully inclusive ethos for all who learn and work in our community
  • A large outdoor learning space

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is passionate about teaching, sets high expectations and promotes a love of learning for all children
  • Is able to enthuse and inspire children to learn and achieve
  • Adopts a fully inclusive approach to their teaching and meets the needs of all children in their class
  • Is committed to working as part of a team

School visits are welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school office to arrange a suitable time.
