Welcome to Key Stage One

Coastline- Spring term

This project teaches the children all about the human and physical features of their environment. They are going to learn about the features of a coastline and compare where they live to a place near the sea. They are going to learn about water safety and how to keep safe at the beach.

They are going to read the Lighthouse Keepers lunch and write diary entries about naughty seagulls stealing the food!

Autumn term 2022- Street Detectives

This term children in KS1 are learning all about their local area.  We are enjoying creating maps of different areas and how to use a key. We will be learning about the Barwell Meteorite and our local history. We are learning lots about features of houses and comparing old and new.
