We are incredibly proud to announce that Newlands Primary School has been awarded the prestigious Values-Based Education (VbE) Quality Mark following a visit from Dr Neil Hawkes, the founder of VbE, on Tuesday 2nd June.
During his visit, Dr Hawkes met with pupils, staff and governors and he praised the school, he said, “There was no doubt in our minds that Newlands Community Primary School is a values-based school and richly deserves the Values Quality Mark. This is a school with a big heart, where good relationships create an inclusive happy school; pupils are well educated and are given an outstanding level of individual care.”
This award is a huge achievement and recognises the hard work and commitment of every member of our school community in promoting kindness, respect and fairness.
As a school, we will now continue to build on this success, working towards the Enhanced Quality Mark by
further developing our pupils’ leadership, reflection, and understanding of our school values in action.
